Bay Area Concert Band 50th Anniversary Celebration Performances

The Bay Area Concert Band (BACB) is celebrating its 50th Anniversary and America’s 250th birthday with two special summer concerts featuring soloists Aaron Johnson and Wilbur Jensen. The indoor concert will be held Thursday, July 9th at 7:30 pm in the North Bend Presbyterian Church. The band will then open the 48th Oregon Music Festival on July 11th at 12 p.m. at Mingus Park. Aaron Johnson, special guest jazz musician, will be featured on the saxophone and clarinet and charter member, Wilbur Jensen, will be performing on the trumpet. The band is conducted by Stephen Simpkins.
