Fat bikes can be ridden year-round and are great on sand, snow and loose dirt.

Self-guided Tours

1. John Dellenback Dunes – Lakeside, OR
   (Pictured at top). Come play on the vast and epic sand dunes at the John Dellenback trail. Push to the top of these massive dunes and freeride down with endless cycles of fun. Cross dunes, pass through beautiful coastal boardwalked woodland, then to the (usually empty!) beach.  Two routes: 13 mile route that heads north through the Dunes can be found here.    Distance: 5.5 mile loop
2. Cape Blanco to Port Orford – Port Orford, OR
   Experiene a backcountry adventure on the Oregon coast. Forge rivers and dodge quicksand in this exciting cape to cape adventure. Detailed trail map
   Distance: 20 miles
3. Bandon – Bandon, OR
   This coastal ride is diverse and will take you rolling alongside desolate beaches, visiting a lighthouse and riding into the small town of Bandon. Split into two rides or one large one and head south to ride through rock tunnels and explore the massive rock features of Face Rock and Haystack Rock.
   Distance: 18.7 miles
4. Banana Belt – Gold Beach, OR
   This ride takes you from the beaches to the woods in one diverse loop. You’ll start with riding around stunning rock features and coast through soil rich wooded lake trails.
   Distance: 12 miles

Tips

1. Ride the beach with a tailwind and ride the road back into the headwind.
2. Ride at low tide, it’s faster and allows you riding access around large rock features.
3. Come prepared to get wet at stream crossings. Bring water.
