If you haven’t been to Whiskey Run, you’re in for a treat. September and October are the not-so-secret “magic months” on the Oregon Coast. But summer lingers even longer on Oregon’s Southern Coast. That’s where you, your friends, your gear and a get-up-and-go adventure come in.  About 4.5 hours from both Portland and Bend, Whiskey Run promises 68 single-track trails with ocean views at the top, a convivial basecamp at the bottom, and miles of loamy, lush, forested rides in between.

At the Trailhead:

Whiskey Run is situated just north of Bandon, which makes the perfect basecamp for your adventure. With a charming old town, cranberry bogs, scenic boardwalk, breweries and crab shacks, you’ll have plenty to enjoy after riding. Of course, Bandon is also renowned for boasting six of the top ten public golf courses in America at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. (Just be sure to make reservations well in advance if you plan to pack your clubs along with your bike).
