Julie Miller is currently serving as the Executive Director of Travel Southern Oregon Coast, an organization that works towards enhancing economic development through sustainable tourism. Julie has been an integral part of the tourism industry on the South Coast for over 25 years. Before her current role, she owned and operated two successful small businesses in Bandon, Oregon. She served as the Executive Director of the Bandon Chamber of Commerce where she became known for her creative tourism marketing strategies on a budget and dedication to business advocacy.   Julie is highly experienced in advertising and promoting a region and has served on numerous statewide business and tourism boards. Her exceptional work in regional tourism has been recognized and awarded. She holds a BA in Communications, is a Western Association of Executives graduate, and founded 100 Strong Bandon, a philanthropic women’s group that raises funds for local non-profit organizations.

Born and raised on the Southern Oregon Coast, Barb Dunham has dedicated her career to promoting and developing tourism in the region. With over two decades of experience in destination marketing, event planning, and community development, Barb brings a wealth of knowledge to her role at TSOC.

Professional Experience:
– Currently serving as Destination Marketing Manager at Travel Southern Oregon Coast (TSOC)
– Former member of K-DOCK Radio’s Sales Team (2017-2021)
– Events Coordinator at The Mill Casino (Sales, Catering, and Event Planning)
– Manager of the North Bend Visitor Center
– Worked for the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce under two Administrators
– Served on the boards of Southern Oregon Visitors Association (SOVA) and Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA)

Key Achievements:
– Developed and managed numerous community events, including the North Bend July Jubilee, North Bend Tree Lighting, and the popular North Bend Sip ‘n Stroll
– Significantly grew group tour business at The Mill Casino, positioning the Southern Oregon Coast as an “Itinerary Destination” for nationwide tour companies
– Collaborated with the North Bend Downtown Association on the Main Street Project
– Currently leading initiatives for kayak launches and bike repair stations along the Southern Oregon Coast

Community Involvement:
– Vice President of the North Bend Main Street Program
– Active participant in regional tourism development, attending the Oregon Governor’s Conference on Tourism for over 25 years
– Regular attendee at National Tour Association (NTA) Travel Exchange and Travel Affiliated Partners (TAP) Conferences

Barb’s passion for the Southern Oregon Coast and her extensive experience in destination marketing make her an invaluable asset to TSOC. She continues to work tirelessly to promote sustainable tourism and support community development from Reedsport to Brookings, including inland communities like Coquille, Myrtle Point, Powers, and Agness.

Blume Bauer brings over two decades of marketing savvy and 13 years of social media expertise to her role as content manager at Travel Southern Oregon Coast (TSOC). For the past four years, she’s been weaving compelling narratives that transform the region’s natural wonders into must-visit destinations.

Blume’s professional journey, spanning various companies before joining TSOC, has honed her skills in crafting messages that resonate and inspire. Now, she applies this rich background to showcase the coastal beauty of Southern Oregon.

Beyond her role at TSOC, Blume dedicates her time to the Tenmile Lakes Association, where her professional skills find purpose in local conservation efforts. As the DMO for Lakeside, she further demonstrates her commitment to the area, promoting tourism with authentic enthusiasm.

In every endeavor, Blume balances seasoned professionalism with genuine passion. Her approach is never overstated, yet always impactful – much like the stunning landscapes she promotes.

Whether she’s curating content, managing social media, or advocating for her beloved lakes, Blume Bauer does it all with a warmth that invites others to discover the charm of Southern Oregon for themselves.

After living in multiple locations across the United States—from the East Coast to the Rockies, and from the Southwest to Northern California and Portland—Sharon finally discovered her true home on the Southern Oregon Coast during a relocation survey trip in 2007. Captivated by its beauty and laid-back vibe, she and her husband secured their “forever” home north of Gold Beach in 2011. She moved there permanently in 2019 to start a new chapter in her life as a travel and tourism writer for the South Coast.
With a background in engineering, Sharon has navigated various roles in the tech industry, including engineer, project manager, technical writer, and marketing communications director. This diverse experience has equipped her with a unique perspective and wealth of knowledge that enriches her travel writing. In addition to her content development for Travel Southern Oregon, Sharon contributes her writing skills to the Bandon Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of work, Sharon’s passion for travel never wanes. She is thrilled to combine this passion with her love for writing to share the wonder of the South Coast with the world. Through her articles and stories, she invites readers to discover the enchanting allure of this remarkable region.

Holly is the founder and principal at Lookout, a nationally recognized leader in destination branding and marketing. Her deep experience in tourism and hospitality includes developing brands and websites for Travel Southern Oregon Coast (in partnership with Cardwell Creative), Explore Sisters, Rogue Valley Wine Country, and dozens of other destinations, hotels, wineries & breweries. Holly worked with the TSOC team to produce the year-long “Whiskey Run Campaign” which was chosen from 108 entries to win the esteemed Oregon Partnership Award at the 2024 Oregon Governor’s Conference on Tourism.

Prior to launching Lookout, Holly served as VP of Marketing and VP of Global Brand Strategy for Travel Oregon. During her 10-year tenure, she developed the Oregon Bounty culinary campaign, twice winning Best Overall Campaign in the country from the US Travel Association (USTA), and the 7 Wonders of Oregon, also winning Best Tourism Campaign (USTA). Prior to Travel Oregon, Holly worked for 16 years at the Walt Disney Company in International Marketing and Sales for Disney’s global theme parks and cruise line.
