2019-2020
Whiskey Run Mountain Bike Trail – TSOC helped secure close to $1 million in grants and invested $150k towards the development of this world-class trail system. After all three phases, it will offer 30 miles of groomed trails on Coos County Forest land.
2020-2021
Whiskey Run Mountain Bike Trail System – Completion of the 3rd phase of this project marked a major milestone. Since the trial’s inception, TSOC has helped to secure close to $1 million in grants and has directly invested $235K in building this world-class, 30-mile trail system. TSOC, Travel Oregon, and Wild Rivers Coast Alliance partnered to construct the final 8 miles of trail. In addition, TSOC installed 2 pit toilets and multiple trash cans, expanded parking, added additional signage, and improved physical distancing with one-way loops.
2022-2023
WHISKEY RUN BRAND CAMPAIGN STOKES MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAVELERS
A year-long promotion of Whiskey Run Trails kicked off last fall with TSOC’s largest multi-channel campaign to date. Mountain bike audiences from Northern California to Portland and Bend were surrounded by messaging about our epic trails.
Tactics included social, digital, YouTube, and pre-roll advertising with 5 video stories, co-op advertising, street marketing with maps and stickers, a Whiskey Run Gnome Sock Treasure Hunt, 5,000 illustrated maps, a sweepstakes featuring businesses in both Coos Bay and Bandon, and multiple stories on Travel Oregon, OCVA, and local DMO social and e-news channels.
